Alan Karalian Bio

High Art Studios Artist and Creative Director Alan Karalian received a BA in Visual Arts and Media from UCSD. The Southern California resident started freelancing graphics drawn with pencil/pen/white-out to skateboarding companies in the mid-90’s.

He began work for the Kottonmouth Kings and Suburban Noize Records from 2000-3 which involved 2 album design contracts through Capitol Record. He has Served as Art Director of Sic Clothing a skate/snowboarding/surfing clothing company.

Alan started Logixlab as a general design house in 1998 for his various creative endeavors. Karalian founded Crypticon Records in 2001 as the recording house for his various album projects; Crypticon now has 22 albums in worldwide release.Alan is currently traveling California mixing a sci-fi trip-hop record, and making Field Recordings for white noise albums and ambient sound beds while exploring unique locations to document via walking and photography. Karalian has classified years generating secret projects in between then, and now – and probably always.
